Soft Evangelism

Abandon Yourself to Christ Jesus!

Servant of Christ

Matthew 5: 14-16  "You are like light for the whole world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead it is put on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.
Soft Evangelism program prepares and develops your heart to grow in God's Grace and Knowledge.

How to Start

First Step, In every conversation that you have, always end it with a blessing from God.
a.  It can be as simple as saying, "God Bless".
b.  Or you can recite a simple doxology.
Galatians. 6:18 - May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit always.
2 Corinthians. 13:14 - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always.
c.  My personal favorite is
Numbers 6:24  May the Lord bless you and keep you;
IF you start ending every conversation in a blessing you will notice that within a few months that your life will have changed.  This is the first step in preparing yourself to become an Apostle for Christ Jesus.  It may seem like such a small think to do, but it is the most important step in the process.

Note:  As days pass, you will find that the way you communicate will change to accommodate the doxology or the simple "God Bless".  You will also find in time, your friends and neighbors will see the difference in you and you in them.

Second Step,  When appropriate, ask everyone you can, "if they attend church."
Hebrews 10: 24-25  Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
I will usually say, " Sunday's coming, are you looking forward in going to church."
If they say NO, then invite them to your church.  I will usually say, "I find attending "my church" such a blessing in my life, I will pray that you will come and experience the same.  Hope to see you."
If they say Yes, then ask them which church they attend.  Start a conversation with them and enjoy the fellowship that follows.  Most of the time you have been blessed with a new friend, congratulations.

Third Step, Intervention
Luke 10: 25-37  The Parable of the Good Samaritan
A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to receive eternal life?"  Jesus answered him, "What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?"  The man answered, "‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind'; and ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'"  "You are right," Jesus replied; "do this and you will live."  But the teacher of the Law wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?"  Jesus answered, "There was once a man who was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him, stripped him, and beat him up, leaving him half dead. It so happened that a priest was going down that road; but when he saw the man, he walked on by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also came there, went over and looked at the man, and then walked on by on the other side. But a Samaritan who was traveling that way came upon the man, and when he saw him, his heart was filled with pity. He went over to him, poured oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them; then he put the man on his own animal and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,' he told the innkeeper, ‘and when I come back this way, I will pay you whatever else you spend on him.'"  And Jesus concluded, "In your opinion, which one of these three acted like a neighbor toward the man attacked by the robbers?"  The teacher of the Law answered, "The one who was kind to him."  Jesus replied, "You go, then, and do the same."
When appropriate, if you see someone in distress, assist them if possible and show the love of Christ Jesus.
If you see someone hungry, feed them.  If you see someone cold, give them a jacket or blanket.
But in all interventions, pray with them and for them.
Intercessory Pray is to build the love of Christ and the love of your neighbor in your heart.

Fourth Step, Home Bible Study
Hebrews 4:12  The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16-17  All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.
1.  Start a home bible study group which will strengthen and encourage you and others in their walk with Christ Jesus.  Pick an evening or day that does not conflict with your church activities.
The bible study may include....
a.  Break bread and drink new wine or water together in fellowship.
 b.  Before you open the Word of God, spend time in prayer to prepare your heart, mind and soul.
 c.  Open God's Word and start your study, leaving all perceived notions behind.
d.  Allow the Word of God to direct you.
e.  Close with a Doxology or Benediction of the groups choosing.
2.  Encourage all members of your church and fellow Christians to start their own bible study group.
